About Us

Ethics and Values

Hi there! And welcome to Wild Rose Sheepadoodles and Bernedoodles. My name is Michelle and I am the dog lover and owner of Wild Rose Sheepadoodles. We are located in Alberta Canada and we specialize in Sheepadoodles and Bernedoodles in the sizes Micro, Mini, and Medium! We have years of experience breeding Sheepadoodles and Bernedoodles and are truly experienced, ethical, educated, professional, and oh-so passionate!

You deserve a puppy that will join your family and be a part of it for a long, long time. This is why we health test all our breeding dogs before their potential offspring is ever a thought. We breed only the dogs that meet our strict health and temperament standards, to ensure you take home a puppy of excellent health, sound mind, and exceptional temperament.

The critical socialization period for all dogs is between 0-12 weeks of age (a time period you will never get back), therefore we make it our responsibility and priority to put hours and hours of “foundational” training into your puppy during the first 8 weeks of their life. We go over an above, raising your puppy on our advanced Wild Rose curriculum.

What does our Wild Rose curriculum look like?

Our puppies are started on an early program that assists them in building and strengthening both their nervous and cardiovascular systems, to ensure your puppy is getting the best start in building their confident, well rounded temperament.

Your puppy will be raised in our home and receive endless affection by people of all ages. This will give your puppy a deep, innate knowing that people are safe, kind and good. We ensure that your puppy’s interactions with other people and pets is supervised and safe at all times, as one bad experience during this developmental period can have a lifelong negative impacts.

Your puppy will go home already exposed to so much of this big scary world. While we raise your puppy in an environment that is safe, secure, warm, and full of love, your puppy will additionally go through daily sound and sight exposure activities, giving them immense positive socialization experiences before they even reach 8 weeks of age. We want you to take home a puppy that already believes in itself and its abilities.

In addition, we give both you and your puppy a VOICE by temperament testing all our puppies PRIOR to puppy selection (see our FAQ page for more info on this process)! We are passionate about adding a puppy to your family that is a great fit for your home, as we desire all of our puppies to thrive as a member of their new families. Matching you and your puppy together based off temperament suitability and not simply looks alone ensures that all our puppies join families where they will flourish and their needs will be fully met.

All our breeding dogs are family pets first. Our dogs live in their own families and are treated like a member of the family. We are animal lovers through and through it is our priority to ensure that all our breeding dogs are living their best lives and that their health and their happiness ALWAYS comes first.

But I’m sure you still have a lot more questions! We want to ensure we are the right breeder for you. Please feel free to check out our “Learn More” tab for answers to so many questions you may be having. You can also check out our “Available Puppies” tab to see which puppies we have available, or head over to our “Planned Breedings” page to see our hopeful upcoming litters. Why The Sheepadoodle?

A Sheepadoodle is a cross between an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle. I am madly in love with the Sheepadoodle, which is why we specialize in this breed. We have put our time, energy and finances into focusing on the Sheepadoodle, so that we can become an expert in producing only the best Sheepadoodle puppies. Sheepadoodles are quickly becoming a popular breed as they are loyal, smart, playful and adore their humans. Without an ounce of aggression, and nothing but cuddles and kisses to give, Sheepadoodles make for an incredible family dog. They are intelligent and easy to train, low to non shedding, and generally very healthy dogs with a long life expectancy. Sheepadoodles love to be with their family, play, go for walks, or just be by your side. They want to please you in every way. The running joke with all Sheepadoodle owners is that once you own a Sheepadoodle, you can never go to the bathroom alone again. Sheepadoodles truly do want to be by their humans side at all times. And because of this, Sheepadoodles do best in households where they can be around their humans often and are not left alone for long periods of time. If you are a busy family who is always on the go and will be leaving your dog home alone often and for long periods of time, the Sheepadoodle breed is not for you. Here are Wild Rose Sheepadoodles we breed Sheepadoodles of all different sizes, from standard size Sheepadoodles to mini Sheepadoodles.

Why The Bernedoodle?

A bernedoodle is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. The Bernedoodle has quickly and intensely stolen our hearts. They are such temperament dogs! A Bernedoodle is perfect for those wanting the goofy, loyal, gentle, sometimes lazy traits of the Bernese as well as the brains and non shedding tendencies of the Poodle. The Bernedoodles life expectancy is also greatly increased vs the short life expectancy of the Bernese. We also breed mini Bernedoodles, meaning you can have the looks and temperament of the Bernese in a smaller package. Bernedoodles truly do want to be by their humans side at all times. And because of this, Bernedoodles do best in households where they can be around their humans often and are not left alone for long periods of time. If you are a busy family who is always on the go and will be leaving your dog home alone often and for long periods of time, the Bernedoodle breed is not for you.
